The book "Slutten" is a collaboration between video artist Charlotte Thiis-Evensen, photographer Marie Sjøvold, sculptor Erik Pirolt, writer Eivind Hofstad Evjemo, illustrator Sverre Malling, and art historian Nina M. Schjønsby. The book is the second part of a book trilogy that began with the book "Oppvåkning" (2016). In the book, various artistic languages and approaches are explored, along with the influence they have on each other and how the contributions of different artists provide new levels of content and meaning, both creatively, thematically, and visually. The book methodically takes its starting point from the way a folded drawing is created. Each artist contributed and glued/drew/annotated it into a book that circulated among them. The book has been redesigned with a focus on preserving the tactile and physical process of the original book. It is hand-bound with Japanese binding by the artists themselves.
